The stamped image is from Hampton Arts PS0579.I colored the white card stock with blue chalk then stamped the image so it looked like the sky was peeking through the branches.The punched layer was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.Inside says a little bird told me it was your birthday.That stamp is from Inkadinkado 97856.MM.I used Zig markers to color the image.The three buttons on the front are actually plastic snaps and I cut the shank off of them and glued them to the front.

I traded a Hero Arts Purses set For The Hero Arts Shoes set a while back and finally got around to making a card with them.The Black card body is from Paper Studio.The shoe stamps are Hero Arts Fancy Shoes LL082.The saying is an Innie and Outie from My Sentiments Exactly K336-10.The Inside of the card has the polka dot paper and says You can never have too many.I used a Spellbinders label 9 to put the words on.The polka dot paper is from Paper Studio.The flowers under the words is a Making Memories rub on.I used half pearls and self stick gems on the shoes.

I am going to teach a stamp class for the Easter season and here is one of my ideas.I need 3 more.The white layer was embossed using a Sizzix folder.The cross is from Stampabilities - Resurrection Cross-UR1003.I stamped it twice and cut out the cloth hanging on the cross and pop dotted it on to give it a 3D effect.The word stamp is from Printworks -Thank God For His Son-F3981.I also used the large swiss dot folder on the purple layer.

I loved this photo that Trudee took and I had the perfect stamp for it.I found that Stazon works best for stamping on photo paper.The card body was stamped in navy blue Stazon with a large Hero Arts design block-S5034-flourish block.The words stamp has no ID..looks to be self mounted.

My dearest friend Kati and her family gave me this for Christmas.I love it and plan to get a nice black frame for it to hang it outside near my front door.It is a 12x12 ceramic tile that has a vinyl cutout made using the Cricut.I had never seen the vinyl used like this and now it makes me want to try it on other things. Thanks Kati and John I love it.

I love this stamp and wanted to make a card for a very special person who has been ill. I used a Sizzix folder for the front.On the green flower layer I used a SU huge background stamp dated 2004.I wish they would put a reference number or a name on their large stamps.I didn't buy it from SU so have no idea.The stamped saying on the front is from Rubberstamp Ave..The Weaver--6654-M.The paper roses on the front are from Treasures by Shabby Chic. I finally decided what to use for my family Christmas card.I was trying to keep it simple as the PO bump police are getting worse.If it has the tiniest of bumps they whack you an extra 27 cents and Heaven forbid if the darn envelope is square..that is even more.The card body is from DCWV.The embossed front was made using a Darcies folder.
Hope everyone else is faster than I am I might get them all done by Valentines day.

The cute kid in the raincoat is a die cut -unknown source-I used dimensional glaze on his coat and boots and raindrops.Not sure how well that shows up.I stuck my finger into the pocket before it was dry so now he is carrying a pocket of sunshine.. my oops is fixed.The dog is of course Snoopy from Stampabilities-Snoopy miss you F1104.The word stamp is from PSX C-3018.

Ginormus Paint Chip Card.

They had these rather large paint chips at Wal - Mart that said "take me home" so I did.They make a rather large card.The inside has patterned paper as the paint info and all was inside.The tree/bird stamp is from Penny Black,Natures Dance 3879J.The words at the top are a rub on..a left over from something else.The little button is actually a push pin from the office department of Office Max.I cut the shank off with a shank cutter and pop dotted it on.

Today we took our sweet little granddaughters to lunch with Santa.Grace who was never a fan of the big guy in the red suit was talking his ear off today.Ella was OK with it as long as he did not invade her personal space--as you will see.The girls had a blast and that gave mom and dad a break to go finish their Christmas shopping.My son did say that they might just go park and sleep--both kids have had colds and now mom and dad have it.So nice of the girls to share.

I Went All Martha Stewart The Last Two Weeks....WHY U ASK?

I recently went looking for envelopes and some card stock and thought it would be easier to find if I organized them into groups.That one thought led to new shelves and hours of organizing everything and almost burning up my poor label machine. I am finally done and last night made a card and it took me about half the time because I was organized.That is the answer to the top question.I am posting the card tonight and later will post new pics of my organized space.I think if I ever get stranded on a desert island I want my books,my art supplies and my P Touch.

Our two little granddaughters are going to be fairy princess for Halloween this year.My son and his wife found baby Ella's for $5.00 but I wanted to make Gracies(Thanks Shawnie).I bought this pink tulle a couple of years ago.It was called speckled stardust.....fitting for a princess don't you think.I bought 4 yards of that and 6 yards of the netting underneath to make it poof.The bow in the back was off a roll from Hobby Lobby.She is going to wear pink tights and a pink turtleneck to make the outfit complete.The wands(Grace has one already)came from my OH BFF Waverly..She wore it to school for spirit day along with a smaller pink tutu that she gave us.Would love to see that picture Wave.I will post a pic of Gracie and Ella in their costumes next week.

Our granddaughter Gracie attends the enrichment preschool at Grand Valley State University.They celebrated grandparents day by inviting grandparents to come and observe their grandchild while at school.Grace was lucky enough to have both her grans come for the day.Grandma Cathy drove down from Hillman MI and we were both so blessed to spend time with Grace.She is growing so fast,seems just like yesterday that she was crawling.We were able to go outside and swing and play and I have found out that Grace has more energy than the average grandparent will ever have.She introduced us to her BFF Lilly who did not have a grandparent there so Grace shared hers..She also painted pictures for both her grandmas.Was a fun day...I never even realized there was a grandparents day until this year..must be Hallmark invented that one.

A Trip To Amish Country .

My DH and son have been doing the male bonding thing all week in Minnesota.They went with my DH's brothers and a couple of other relatives.They went canoeing and slept in the wilderness...........ya OK not so much fun I am thinking so I stay home and I get to have my kind of fun.
My friend Tina and I decided to go to Shipshewana to shop and eat at the Blue Gate restaurant.YUM.
We left MI around 8:00AM and just took our time.We stopped for coffee and at a warehouse place that usually sells all tools.Tina found a library card cabinet for storing fat quarters in.REALLY nice for a great price.We then arrived at Shipshi around 10:00AM.We hit up a couple of little antique shops and then went to Davis Mercantile.There they have a ton of cute shops and two that are really nice.The Scrapyard is a scrap and stamp store that has just about everything you could want in scrap and stamp.The owner Linda Bontrager is so very nice.They are also hooked up with the candy store next door,Aunt Millie's.Just looking at the candy made you gain 10 pounds.We took some pictures of some of the goodies in the scrap yard so enjoy and then go visit them.

One of the largest selections of My Favorite Things stamps I have seen anywhere.Some just had to come home with me,they insisted.

OK now on to the quilting segment of this mini daycation.

The quilt shop is 3 floors and the bottom is the bargain bin store called The Lang Store and The Cuddle Corner.The Cuddle Corner sells all soft fleecy baby fabric.Lots of precut panels to make your own.Some of the made up ones reminded me of ice cream.The pink and browns were Neapolitan of course.

My really sweet and generous friend Kati and I went to Archivers in Fort Wayne Indiana last week after my dentist appointment.We had not been shopping together for a really long time so it was A BLAST. I LUV The Wizard Of Oz movie and can remember reading and rereading the book as a kid.Sooooo when I spied this paper on a rack in the back of Archivers I had to have it.It has 4 panels of Oz characters and this was my fav.I just cut it out and mounted it on orange paper then onto the black card body.Then I went wild with Stickles.The inside says You could have someone drop a house on you.All the words are from my imagination so no stamp was used.
The pictures I took with my new 2 me camera that I bought from OH Kati.Its a Cannon Rebel and I really like it--need to go home to OH for a lesson or two though.
I can not wait for the day when Gracie and Ella want to watch Dorthy and her little dog Toto...will be way to much fun.

Tomorrow I am visiting a great scrap/stamp shop in Shipshawana Indiana. I am going to take my new 2 me camera and take pics of the new things that have arrived.The best part about this store is they ship and only charge actual shipping.I was looking for some ribbon glue that Making Memories foolishly discontinued.I called them and she said she could get it from her supplier and I said great I will take all you can get.I am now the proud owner of 8 tubes and it should last a good long while.The store is called the Scrapyard so check in on Saturday for a photo trip of their store.

I LOVE making rosettes.I bought a Tim Holtz die to make smaller ones but I think it is just as easy to use the Martha Stewart score board and make my own.I used netting from Hobby Lobby and Hobby Lobby ribbon and the flower is a Prima.I bought the frame and the smile saying at Hobby Lobby.It hangs in Grace and Ella's room that we made over at our house.They have a place for all their toys and books when they come and stay and they like to look at pictures of their mom and dad so made this up to surprise Gracie next time she comes out.

My granddaughter Gracie is a pinkalicious girl.In Gracie's world everything is pink and we should all wear pink and the pinker it is the better.Her favorite shade is actually Pepto Bismal pink.She did get a new bike recently and it is a shade of purple as they would have had to wait for a pink one so she decided just this once purple was just as good as her favorite pink color.
So she inspired my card for today.The stamp used was P107 Agapanthius clusters by Stampendous.The card stock was all scraps and originally came from DCWV.
So when you think you can't take pink anymore move into our Gracie's world and embrace your pinkalicious side.

I am back to card making after a very long and painful back problem.Unless you have had back spasms you have no idea how bad it hurts.Labor is not as painful and I would go through that again willingly if it would mean not having my back go out again.

When we used to live in OH we had a huge collection of these old bottles.We used to have them in the kitchen and when the sun came through it looked like stained glass.When we moved they got lost in the shuffle somewhere between move 10 and 12.

I found this Hampton Arts stamp,Hollywood Diva-JM4486 at a garage sale brand new for $1.00 what a steal.In the far bottom right there is supposed to be a cat--I thought it looked kind of weird so I added the stars,by by kitty.I chalked the image using SU chalks.The word dream stamp comes from Stampa Rosa-BREN-W092.
