I fold mine like the person in the video does but I alternate the folds so the pile lays flat. When you fold, lay that fold opposite the first fold so the stack stays level and does not run uphill. The Ikea units I store mine in have fabric stacks two deep.so when you look at the stacks times that by two as there is another stack behind it. I have two Ikea units and all cubes are full except one and that stores crochet cotton. I store my fat quarters in a rolling cart from Ikea.
