So What Is Victoria's Secret?

My oh so funny BFF in Ohio has decided that she needs me to convert to being the owner of Victoria's secret unmentionables.I went in to the Victoria's Secret store once and asked to see the flannel line and was promptly asked to leave for saying the F word.....OK that is stretching the truth but seriously who wants to pay $12.00 for a pair of underpants that has dental floss for the backside of them.So now Ohio friend has decided she will send me subliminal thoughts on being a Vickie convert.Hence this years birthday card...and what is Victoria's secret?Lie about your age of course.(Paper is from CTMH the rest courtesy of Victoria's Secret.)
Thanks Kati I do love the card.

Martha Stewart Is In The House.

Well a sinus infection has decided to linger on and I have done nothing but sleep the last few days.Trying to wait it out and not pay a copay at the doctors.
These doilies from Martha Stewart are really pretty and when you get them for a buck in the sale bin then it makes them down right gorgeous.I think they usually run around $4.00 YIKES.The teal card body is from Hobby Lobby's line. The stamped saying is from Rubber Nature Art Stamps T-1F. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby's wedding collection.
Remember there is a giveaway going on and you can read the rules on the February 15 2013 post.

It's Your Day.

I started with a Mellow Honey card base from DCWV then added a caramel color under the white, wrapped the bow from the back(ribbon from Michael's)The spray of flowers and congrats word are from Hero Arts LL073 Birthday Wish Bouquets. The words It's your day are from an unknown stamp source.
I have been seeing a trend in cards that are loaded with all kinds of "stuff".I sort of like them but would never send them to just everyone because the price of postage makes them go as a small package....YIKES.So
sometimes simple gets the point across.

Don't forget to join my blog then comment on this post for a chance to win a $50.00 box of goodies and also a second place gift will be given away.Every day you have a chance to enter with each new post.

File Away Your Birthday.

I saw a card similar to this at a convention and ran across it when I was dumping pics off my camera. Thought it would be fun to make and when I snagged these 5x5 file pockets from KI Memories for $2.39 instead of the almost $5.00 that was the original price,I knew it was meant to be .There were 4 big pockets in the package so it really was a good deal.

I had 50 sheets of these invites that you make yourself.Won them in a scrap basket draw at a scrap store.I have had them for a long time and decided they would be perfect for this project.

After cutting them apart I stamped each one with a birthday saying or life altering quote....OK might not be life altering.

Then I used one of the file pockets and a A7 card body from Hobby Lobby.I glued the  inside front of the card body to the inside back of the card body to make it a strong one piece card. Then I attached the file pocket..has a huge self adhesive area on the back so no worry about it falling off.

I also used the banding off the invite sheet to decorate the top of the card.I made an attempt to hide the name of the person on the card but oopsed that on the next picture..oh well she will see it before she gets it.

Here is the finished card. The message was computer generated. The  wishes cards lay flat in the pocket for mailing.I guess the motto don't throw anything out applies here.I was going to put those invites in a sale and at the last minute  took them out of the sell box.

My stamping friend Michelle came over and spent the afternoon playing in my stamp room while we listened to Adele's 21,great way to spend an afternoon.Come back next week I have news of a giveaway just in time for tax day.

Is It A Card Or Is It A Bookmark?

I Went All Martha Stewart The Last Two Weeks....WHY U ASK?

I recently went looking for envelopes and some card stock and thought it would be easier to find if I organized them into groups. That one thought led to new shelves and hours of organizing everything and almost burning up my poor label machine. I am finally done and last night made a card and it took me about half the time because I was organized. That is the answer to the top question.I am posting the card tonight and later will post new pics of my organized space.I think if I ever get stranded on a desert island I want my books,my art supplies and my P Touch.
The card body is from the  Hobby Lobby line of card stock. The bottom white layer was edged with a Martha Stewart punch. The pink layer is from DCWV.The top white layer has been embossed using the Cuttle Bug.The little girl is a die cut from Me and My Big Ideas.Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The word stamp on front is from Art Impressions, sorry no ID.The inside stamp is from Hampton Art/Studio G dollar bin at Mikes.
Hope you all had a very safe and blessed Thanksgiving. We had our son and his sweet wife and our two little grand daughters who are the entertainment part of the day. They sure are funny at the age of four and one.
