Birthday Dish.

I am pulling out oldies but goodie stamps for the next week and trying to use up my scraps before I start my Christmas cards.The image on the front is from Stampinks Unlimited it is dated 1986....ya good luck on finding that.I stamped the plate with Memento ink,Summer Sky ME-604.The inside says Happy Birthday to a real "dish"!That stamp is from Art Impressions D-1854.The yellow background was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.Ribbon is from American Crafts.All paper used is from DCWV.

Three Birds BD.

The green layer was embossed using a Sizzix folder.The bird stamp is from Hero Arts Three Song Birds H5422.The saying is from Inkadinkado 97856.MM.The background of the bird stamp was colored with Pan Pastel 580.5 turquoise. I attached 2 amber jewels to the flowers.Inside has a simple happy birthday.

The Weaver.

I love this stamp and wanted to make a card for a very special person who has been ill. I used a Sizzix folder for the front.On the green flower layer I used a SU huge background stamp dated 2004.I wish they would put a reference number or a name on their large stamps.I didn't buy it from SU so have no idea.The stamped saying on the front is from Rubberstamp Ave..The Weaver--6654-M.The paper roses on the front are from Treasures by Shabby Chic. Finally Settled On My Christmas Card.

I finally decided what to use for my family Christmas card.I was trying to keep it simple as the PO bump police are getting worse.If it has the tiniest of bumps they whack you an extra 27 cents and Heaven forbid if the darn envelope is square..that is even more.The card body is from DCWV.The embossed front was made using a Darcies folder.
Hope everyone else is faster than I am I might get them all done by Valentines day.

I Went All Martha Stewart The Last Two Weeks....WHY U ASK?

I recently went looking for envelopes and some card stock and thought it would be easier to find if I organized them into groups.That one thought led to new shelves and hours of organizing everything and almost burning up my poor label machine. I am finally done and last night made a card and it took me about half the time because I was organized.That is the answer to the top question.I am posting the card tonight and later will post new pics of my organized space.I think if I ever get stranded on a desert island I want my books,my art supplies and my P Touch.
The card body is from the  Hobby Lobby line of card stock.The bottom white layer was edged with a Martha Stewart punch.The pink layer is from DCWV.The top white layer has been embossed using the Cuttle Bug.The little girl is a die cut from Me and My Big Ideas.Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.The word stamp on front is from Art Impressions,sorry no ID.The inside stamp is from Hampton Art/Studio G dollar bin at Mikes.
Hope you all had a very safe and blessed Thanksgiving.We had our son and his sweet wife and our two little grand daughters who are the entertainment part of the day.They sure are funny at the age of four and one.

The image is from a great new paper and stock collection from Graphics 45 it is called Curtain Call.This sheet was named The Cinema # 4500323.The rest of the paper was DCWV the Tim Holtz rosette die was cut from Bo Bunny back 2 backs.The words,inside and out are computer generated and came off a place mat from Texas Corral.I knew the right image would come along to use them with.Just a fun project.

Sympathy And Jolee's Flowers.

When Flowerland was going out of the crafts business I bought up a whole bunch of these Jolee's flower sheets.They were selling them for .25 and they had been $2.50,I have them in blue also.Was trying to find something simple to put on the front.I need to find fairly flat as the USPO rips you off on the small "bump" in the enve.The other day I wanted to mail something with a bump and the woman at the desk said it had to go as a small package and it would cost $3.70.For a card with a small bump.I said I would UPS it before I would pay that.Took it to another PO and they charged me 2 stamps.No wonder the USPS is losing business.

I cuttled the background on these cards and the lacy edge on the one was made by using a Fiskars border punch.

Making Some Sympathy Cards.

I really like the 3D butterflies from Mikes.They are from their $1.00 line and our better made then some of the more costly ones from the scrapbook store.I am making sympathy cards for my dentist office...trying to make some ahead so I don't get caught in a time crunch.

My dear friend and political nemesis,Kathy B sent me the prettiest thank you card.She is a newbie to making cards and has made me a few really cute and quirky ones.This one is really pretty.Thanks for the thanks Kath.

Baby Invites And Thank You Cards.

I was asked by a dear friend in Ohio to make 50 invitations for her son and daughter in laws baby shower.They have a huge family type shower and they have tons of relatives.I am making the thank you cards as part of her gift.Rachel and Matt are having a girl and Rachel is a dance instructor so thought this was perfect.

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and are ready for Christmas.My list is way down this year so need to do one shopping trip then I am done.My granddaughter Grace was very  specific when she made out her list. She wants a doll baby but it must be a squishy doll baby.

Baby Girl Embossed

I used a Cuttlebug small embossing folder for the front image.Paper is Creative Memories.card body is a note card from HL,clam shell style. The front stamp is from River City Rubberworks 0965-F a baby is such a nice way.The carriage is colored in pink along the ruffle and the wheels and handle are a light tan but it does not show up.I need a good camera Santa.Come back on Tuesday and have some ideas ready on craft room storage.That will be the theme for Novembers blog candy.

Sizzix Birthday Cake.

I don't know if it will show up well but this was made using the Sizzix folder birthday cake.I added little rhinestones(they are lavender) from Hero Arts to the cake and the paper is Creative Memories.The butterfly is from  my odds and ends stash.
